Lauren entered the beauty industry as a cosmetologist in 2016 at age 19. As she navigated young adulthood and an abusive relationship, she found beauty beyond the world’s ugliness in hair color, braids, and the joy of her clients. Despite thriving as a hairstylist, she felt the itch for more. The beauty industry sirens came calling again. After years of unofficially moonlighting as her family and friend’s skin expert, Lauren pursued her esthetician license.
